This vintage toaster...

is what I envisioned, with its shiny chrome and cloth cord; when I was in the market for a new toaster. For some reason, unbeknownst to me; I have a vivid, fond memory of, cloth cord.

I looked at many and then I saw this one. As close to retro perfection, as I was going to get; for the price I could afford. Sadly, no cloth cord.

Hi Suzen: I was looking for a toaster to give a friend, and I stumbled onto your page. Firstly, I was lucky to find the Sunbeam T-9 toaster at an estate sale for a very good price, and it is a wonderful toaster. I suggest to keep your eye out for one, or there are lots of very cool toasters from the 30-60's for very reasonable prices. Also, I too have a thing for silk/cloth cords, and in case you did not know, a good lamp repair store should have at least three colors of cloth cord that they use for doing repairs. You could have them rewire a lamp, or clock in a silk/cloth cord, or you could do it yourself. In addition, ask them if they have any old plugs around you cold use to complete the look. Have fun! Shel
